The West needs more oil now that Russia’s crude is too toxic to buy. But, American frackers may struggle to replace more than 10% of the more than 10 million barrels per day produced by Russia, writes rob_cyran:

U.S. shale-oil production in March is expected to be 8.7 million barrels per day according to U.S. government forecasts.
