‘Parents’ rights’ rallying cry in North East ISD board races overlaps with national culture war

Public opinion on safety went both ways, Winkley noted, calling it “heartbreaking” to read emails from parents who were concerned about the lack of masks.Northeast ISD board votes 5-1 to mandate masks following arguments against it from overflow crowd “You can’t be afraid to fight. If you are afraid to fight, then don’t go ask for someone’s vote,” Trevino said.
Trevino said the district could have questioned Krause’s motives and fought his inquiry but chose not to.
