Pagasa said TCWS No. 2 is still raised over Batanes; the northwestern portion of Cagayan , including the Babuyan Islands; and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte .
These areas are anticipated to experience winds raging from 62 to 88 kilometers per hour for at least 24 hours. Seventeen areas will also remain under TCWS No. 1, Pagasa said. These are Pangasinan; La Union; Ilocos Sur; the rest of Ilocos Norte; the rest of Cagayan; Apayao; Kalinga; Mountain Province; Ifugao; Abra; Benguet; Isabela; Quirino; Nueva Vizcaya; northern portion of Aurora ; northern portion of Nueva Ecija ; and the northern portion of Tarlac .
Egay’s center was last located 255 kilometers west of Itbayat, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kph with gustiness of up to 185 kph, the state weather bureau said.
