The two security guards and one suspect are in stable condition, officials at the scene said.
Officers were called to the facility at 1 Haven Hope Way, northwest of downtown, at around 10 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. Police said a homeless man was being belligerent and banging on the intake door. The two security guards came out to talk him down, but when they couldn't, they tried to detain him to calm him down.The man started struggling with one of the guards and went for the security guard's gun. During the scuffle, the firearm went off, hitting one security guard in the foot.
The second security guard was able to draw his weapon, but was shot in the leg. It is unclear how he was shot, police said.
