Two people in an SUV died after the vehicle struck the back of a school bus carrying 24 students Monday afternoon in Kane County, officials said.Around 3:45 p.m., Kane County sheriff’s deputies and Campton Hills police were dispatched to Empire Road and Kingswood Drive in an unincorporated part of Campton Township for reports of a crash between a vehicle and a school bus.
“It appears like there was no attempt to slow down and both were traveling in the same direction,” Hain said of the crash.
