UPDATE: Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries after a confrontation in the parking lot of Main Event.
TUCSON, Ariz. — The Tucson Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened around 7:45 a.m. near the Tucson Spectrum Center near Irvington and Interstate 19.
Officers say while in the area they heard gunshots when they went to investigate they found a man inside the parking lot with obvious signs of gunshot trauma.Detectives say the shooting happened because of an argument. During the confrontation, two people were injured, and both people were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
TPD is not able to confirm the type of injury the second person has because the investigation is still ongoing. According to TPD, detectives believe they have all the parties involved and there are no outstanding suspects, and no arrests have been made at this time.Corey Salmon is a real-time editor and associate producer for KGUN 9.
