Two men fatally shot in East Oakland are identified by police.
OAKLAND — Two men fatally shot Friday in East Oakland residential areas have been identified by police.The killings do not appear to be related, authorities said.
Jamal Watkins was identified as the 33-year-old Oakland man who was fatally shot about 7:10 p.m. Friday. He was found dead inside his vehicle that crashed into a wall at an apartment complex in the 900 block of 82nd Avenue.A 50-year-old man found fatally shot about 12:15 p.m. Friday inside his truck which was parked in the 9700 block of B Street near a park was identified as McKeever Edwards, of Oakland. He had been shot by someone outside the vehicle, police said.
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money in each killing for information leading to the arrests of the suspects. Anyone with information may call homicide investigators at 510-238-3821 or 510-238-7950 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
