LAPD officers were in pursuit of a reckless, suspected DUI driver on Friday evening. The pursuit ended when the vehicle flipped as a result of a collision with another car unrelated to the chase.

Los Angeles Police Department officers took two people into custody on Friday evening following a pursuit that ended on Otis Avenue and Bell Avenue in Bell.

The pursuit began in Boyle Heights just before 11 p.m., when authorities engaged with a suspect wanted for reckless driving and supposedly driving under the influence. While evading authorities, the driver passed through Vernon and other communities before ending up in Bell.
