Community members volunteered to load weights, spot and support local athletes, including Garrett Ford, who deadlifted over 600 pounds.Ford started competing at 16-years-old. Now at 26-years-old, the Pataskala powerlifter won multiple gold medals, including in the 2018 Special Olympics USA games, garnering the nickname "Hulk."

He just really enjoyed it. He was excelling in it and that of course makes you feel good about yourself too. It’s given him a lot of confidence," said Kevin's mother.
