Turkey's presidential adviser Ibrahim Kalin says talks under way to end S-400 and F-35 row between Turkey and US

Turkey and the US have begun talks to resolve their differences in the military sector, especially on the S-400 missile system and F-35 fighter jets, the Turkish presidential spokesman said on Friday.

"S-400 system can be used independently without being integrated into the NATO defence system," he said, adding "There is no pullback [from the systems]. Turkey will activate the S-400s." The US maintains that the system could be used by Russia to covertly obtain classified details on the jet and is incompatible with NATO systems.
