Lincolnwood will hold its annual Turkey Trot 5K and 10K event, plus a Drumstick Dash for kids, at Proesel Park on Nov. 19, 2023. Early bird registration ends Nov. 12.
Runners and walkers of all ages can burn off calories in preparation for Thanksgiving at Lincolnwood’s Turkey Trot, the annual 5K and 10K event, plus a Drumstick Dash for kids, at Proesel Park. The 47th Turkey Trot, hosted by Lincolnwood’s Parks and Recreation Department, is set for an 8:45 a.m. start Sunday, Nov. 19. To get a discounted early bird registration, participants must register by Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. For 5K and 10K runners, the early bird fee is $44, and $49 up until the race.
Kids will be able to participate in the Drumstick Dash with LIncolnwood’s mayor, Jesal Patel, and police chief, Jay Parrott, Parks and Recreation Director Karen Hawk told Pioneer Press in an email. She described the 5K and 10K course as a flat and fast road “perfect for all running levels.” Hawk said the course was re-measured this month to provide the most accurate mile markings.
