— Tropical storm Falcon intensified as it moved north over the Philippine Area of Responsibility and is seen to become a typhoon by tomorrow, the state weather bureau said on Saturday.
The weather disturbance is seen to strengthen into a typhoon on Sunday afternoon or evening, according to PAGASA's latest track and intensity forecast. The habagat is currently strengthened by Doksuri, a tropical storm over mainland China, PAGASA said. It was called Egay, peaking at a super typhoon category, while inside PAR.
Estareja said PAGASA may raise orange and red rainfall warnings in these areas, which may cause flooding in flood-prone zones.
