The German mayor of Donald Trump's grandfather's hometown of Kallstadt said a visit to his ancestor's village might bring the U.S. president"back to earth" in the aftermath of Trump's recent attacks on four Democratic congresswomen.
"Everyone has his or her roots somewhere — and to demand of others to simply leave the country is paradoxical for him," Beatrix Riede, 61, who leads an association for women in the town, told the."I can only wish Americans that they will elect someone who turns on his mind before saying something." Trump on Sunday urged four progressive congresswomen — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib — to"go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."
