State Rep. Fred Doucette, a Republican who co-chaired both Trump's 2016 and 2020 campaign operations in the Granite State, will now co-chair and serve as a strategist for Ramaswamy in New Hampshire, marking a significant pickup for the Republican hopeful."Fred gets things done. He has a proven track record of leadership, delivering results and winning," Ramaswamy said in a statement, per Fox News.
In addition to his extensive campaign experience in the key early primary state, Doucette also works as the deputy majority leader in the state House. Despite his history with Trump, Doucette dubbed the GOP front-runner's campaign as"flat" and reckoned there is a pathway to victory for Ramaswamy. By jumping ship, Doucette joins several other New Hampshire Trump campaign alumni, including GOP strategist Josh Whitehouse, who will work as the state director.
