After DeSantis left the Republican nomination contest, Good switched his support to Trump, vowing to vote for him in November.Trump nonetheless weighed in on the Virginia primary election race earlier this week, declaring his support for McGuire on his Truth Social platform. “Bob Good is BAD FOR VIRGINIA, AND BAD FOR THE USA,” Trump posted. “He turned his back on our incredible movement, and was constantly attacking and fighting me until recently, when he gave a warm and ‘loving’ Endorsement — But really, it was too late.”The cease-and-desist letter from Trump’s campaign said the yard sign with both men’s names incorrectly suggests that they are in alliance.
But the sign does not explicitly say that Good has the former president’s support. Good’s campaign website lists a host of other endorsements, including Sen. Rand Paul , Rep. Ben Cline and Rep. Matt Gaetz , with no mention of support from Trump.earlier this month to rally behind Trump during the former president’s criminal hush money trial.
On Friday, the congressman did not publicly acknowledge the cease-and-desist letter. Instead, he defended Trump after“This miscarriage of justice from the sham New York City trial is nothing more than an abuse of power to achieve a political objective,” Good wrote in an email to supporters.
