President Trump is heading to El Paso and Dayton tomorrow after the weekend’s back-to-back mass shootings
President Donald Trump has announced that he will travel on Wednesday to the scenes of the two weekend mass shootings, defying backlash by some in both communities who have urged him not to come.
White House aides teased Trump’s impending trip earlier Tuesday, telling reporters that his public schedule was clear due in part to preparations for his trip. “The president is the president of all of the people,” Gidley said. “What he wants to do is go to these communities and grieve with them, pray with them and offer condolences.”Sign Up
“The president has wanted to go there since he learned of these tragedies, and he is able to move around this country,” Conway said. “Secret Service says it’s safe and ready.”
