A South Carolina community is mourning the death of a 29-year-old transgender woman who was found shot to death on the side of a road.
The body of Denali Berries Stuckey was discovered in North Charleston early Saturday, according to police. Stuckey's death was ruled a homicide, said coroner's office officials.
"She was a free spirit. She was very outspoken," Judon told ABC News."If you didn't like the fact that she was trans, she would give you a piece of her mind." "I recognize how hard it is just to live your truth in a very southern region of the United States," she said."She was a woman who walked a very difficult life in a very southern state."
