The continued success of the movies made it nearly impossible for the studio and filmmaker to agree to stop collaborating.
Michael Bay Added A Heavy Military Presence To Transformers One of the biggest changes that came to Transformers once Michael Bay joined the movie was adding a major military presence. In the audio commentary track for the first movie, Bay stated that he felt the original draft of the script was "too kiddy," leading him to request a bigger role for the military characters. The end result was making Lennox and Epps two of the main characters in the story.
