On Thursday at about 7:30 p.m., members of the Tactical Support Unit saw a vehicle driving erratically in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West, police said in a release. Officers performed a traffic stop and noticed open alcohol in the vehicle. The three men inside were arrested.
Further investigation found crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and items consistent with drug trafficking in the vehicle, as well as a handgun and rifle concealed in a backpack. Officers recovered 25 grams of packaged crystal methamphetamine, .33 grams of cocaine, a handgun, a rifle, bear spray, $5,400 in cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.A 48-year-old man, a 34-year-old man and a 29-year-old man have been charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
The 29-year-old is also charged with 12 firearm-related charges, including two counts each of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of a concealed weapon. The 34-year-old is also charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000.
