The LSE said on Friday morning that trading was delayed as it was investigating a “potential trading services issue.” Trading in the biggest shares on the exchange was supposed to open at 8am, although smaller stocks were trading as usual. The last such delay occurred on June 7 2018, when trading was delayed for an hour because of a technical issue on its software.
