In Mostaque's vision for the future of AI models, individuals will utilize both proprietary and open source models in a hybrid experience, and will even have models on their phones, he added.With the recent AI boom, a flock of startups have emerged to help developers build AI and non-AI applications. Several of these startups, including LangChain, CodeComplete AI, and pyq AI, spoke at the summit about the future of software development.
However, some of these startups' reliance on large model providers like OpenAI could pose an issue, as they often have to adjust their products based on advancements and releases in OpenAI's offerings. LangChain founder Harrison Chase addressed this, saying that his startup's strategy depends heavily on what areas the large model provider decides to go deeper in.
