An harrowing scene unfolded with 16 laps to go during the Indy 500 on Sunday when Felix Rosenqvist’s rear left tire flew into the stands during a collision with the wall.
Driver Kyle Kirkwood was also flipped upside down in the accident as he turned over against the wall.“I’m just glad I’m so safe,” Kirkwood told NBC after the wreck.
