A caller at 10 p.m. on Nov. 1 told the Westlake Police Department that a gray GMC was swerving on I-90 and the caller suspected the operator might be drunk. The GMC made it through Westlake before officers could catch up with it. The caller stayed on the line with 911 operators as neighboring police departments tried to track it down.

Officers stopped the truck after the driver exited the highway at Columbia Road and committed several lane violations. The 62-year-old male driver from Euclid said that he was lost and trying to find his way home. He appeared intoxicated and was field tested. Officers arrested him for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to maintain marked lanes. He refused a breath test at the Westlake jail.Witnesses at 4:45 p.m. on Nov.
The man and woman denied anything physical happened despite having minor cuts. The woman said that the ex-dating couple had gone to the Browns game earlier before heading to a restaurant and bar on Crocker Road. They got into an argument, which resulted in them hashing things out in the lot of Bob Evans.
