Just when you thought Kamala Harris 's VP pick couldn't get any more likable, it turns out Tim Walz's wife, Gwen Walz, is a teacher just like her husband and another famous former second lady, Jill Biden. According to the official Minnesota Governor's website, Gwen Walz has taught in public, alternative, and migrant schools, and is an advocate for education reform in the nation's prisons.
Per CNN, her first public event after her husband became governor of Minnesota was a rally to restore voting rights to convicted felons. Gwen grew up in Minnesota, according to her bio, where her parents were small business owners. She began her teaching career in Nebraska, which is where she met Tim. The Walzes were married in 1994, and they now have two children, teenagers Hope and Gus, per People.
