Charlie Woods, 14, advanced to the Notah Begay III National Championship after winning his age division with his father Tiger as his caddy.
Tiger, 47, caddied for his son in the second round. He had nine birdies and three bogeys, holding on to win by just one stroke.when asked about his father caddying for him."We take it one shot at a time. He puts me in my place. I’ll talk about the next tee shot and he’s like, ‘No. This is the shot we’re going to focus on. Focus up. This is what we’re gonna do.'"
The Notah Begay III National Championship is scheduled for Nov. 4 through Nov. 6 on the Koasati Pines course at Coushatta Casino Resort in Louisiana.
