Thungela Resources, South Africa's largest producer of export coal, sees the new government as a 'net-net positive' for its business, even as its earnings are likely to be hit by a strengthening rand.
From a company point of view, the direction of travel in South Africa is net positive, said Thungela CFO, Deon Smith, who provided its global investors with a pre-close update on Tuesday.
