Cocaine and marijuana seized during DEA raids in Cleveland. [Photo in federal court document]CLEVELAND, Ohio – A federal investigation into a cocaine pipeline to Cleveland led to the arrests of three men linked to the Mexican drug trade, authorities said.

Mahoney’s attorney, William Livingston, declined to comment. Attempts to reach other attorneys in the case were unsuccessful. A DEA affidavit filed in federal court indicated that Mahoney was referring to 35 kilograms of cocaine when he discussed the loss of books. Mahoney claimed the safe also contained about $100,000 in cash, which was also stolen, the affidavit shows.

“Ok, so, so, gotta let me know, so, so, so 35 percent you lost, right?” the unidentified person said.Mahoney has preliminary and detention hearings Jan. 28 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Greenberg. Authorities also found hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash. They also seized a ledger, which indicates Mahoney “owes several million dollars for previously acquired cocaine,” according to the affidavit.
