After two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, thousands of people from Region III and other places in Luzon flocked to Bulacan on Friday, Dec. 30, to buy fireworks for the celebration of the New Year.

Despite warnings from the Department of Health to avoid the use of firecrackers, people still buy fireworks in Bulacan stalls.

Related to this, Bulacan police headed by Col. Relly B. Arnedo conducted massive, thorough, and blow-by-blow inspections in all firecrackers factories in Bulacan as well as all fireworks stalls along the streets to ensure manufacturers and dealers follow Republic Act 7183, known as the Firecrackers Law.

In an interview with Manila Bulletin, Arnedo advised people to use or light fireworks properly and quite far from children. Super Lolo, Dynamite, Pla-Pla, Kwiton, watusi, and Piccolo are included in list of strictly prohibited firecrackers.
