The future of Pasadena ISD track and field was on display Wednesday night as the seventh graders took to the oval track.
Southmore Intermediate's Jermyrion Youngblood battles the competition in the 100-meter hurdles Wednesday night.We now know who the favorite will be to win the eighth-grade boys district championship in track and field next March when the intermediate schools reconvene.
Adams' impressive tally of points began Monday night when the guys competed in the field events and the girls did the running. Adams won the shot put with a heave of 40 feet, 1 inch, besting Miller's Nester Vega and his 36-and-a-half toss. In the long jump, Taylor secured his third silver medal with runner-up honors and a distance of 15 feet, 10 inches. Tran was third and Ezekiel West finished third and fourth, respectively.Only two other athletes captured more than one gold medal and they were Queens Intermediate's Dustin Cuevas and Beverly Hills' Cruz Jasso.
