A new Crosby development with over 500 homes planned is just blocks from Lake Houston
The next new neighborhood for Crosby comes from Windy Hill Development in the fourth quarter of 2023. The first phase begins with 150 homes.The burgeoning northeast quadrant of Harris County will add yet another development to its portfolio of subdivisions when Indian Springs begins offering new homes in the Crosby area in 2023.
They are best known in development circles for the Marina Del Sol estate waterfront marina located in Clear Lake and since that development, have added numerous more communities to their holdings. While the Halls have seven projects underway around the Gulf Coast area as far north as Huntsville and south to Alvin, Hitchcock, and Needville, they are just days away from a 400- to 500-acre purchase in Liberty County on the Grand Parkway.
“We focus on tracts between 300-500 acres for several reasons. They are manageable especially through economic cycles like we’re going through now in the building industry. Rates are rising, costs are rising, and if we buy more or buy right to manage it through a downturn, it becomes really tough in terms of servicing debt and holding property when sales hit a slowdown,” he explained the process.
“We sold that site and began looking for a replacement site because we believe so strongly in what’s happening out in Huffman and the Crosby area. We saw that was going to be the case when they finished out the expansion of FM 2100,” Hall said.
