A controversial education program is on top of Gov. Greg Abbott's, R-Texas, agenda for the third special session.
Education Savings Accounts also known as vouchers or school choice aims to allow families to use taxpayer money to pay for their student’s private education.
I do think that more legislators are on board and they realize that this is truly a rising tide that is going to lift all boats,” said Drogin. “It would basically be taking public money, which is provided by the taxpayers in the state, away from public education and the more money we take away from public education, the less our children have in the public school to get resources and materials,” said De La Rosa.
