The conflict in Ukraine is dragging on further and further because the US, Nato and EU countries continue to provide military and financial support to the Kyiv regime and prevent Vladimir Zelenskyy from discussing peace initiatives that many countries are proposing.
This is exemplified by the large-scale deliveries to Ukraine of the latest weapons, including man-portable surface-to-air missile systems, multiple rocket launchers and long-range anti-aircraft missile systems. In early July, the world was shocked by the announced decision by the United States of America to supply the Kyiv regime with cluster munitions. Many countries, including the Asean members, have already declared that their use in Ukraine is unacceptable.
The West also omitted the human rights situation in the importing country and its unwillingness to fulfill its international obligations regarding arms control in general. The weapons supplied to Kyiv have long since begun to appear in European and African States, adding to the arsenals of organized crime and terrorist groups.
