Screen rant's Star Trek: Infinite preview.
Quick Links Growth is conquest. Whether the UFP diplomatically draws a nearby power into its fold or a Klingon war party assimilates their latest planetary quarry at the edge of a bloody Bat'leth, Star Trek: Infinite seeks to stoke the fires of territorial expansion.
Klingons and Romulans round out the four selectable major powers in Star Trek: Infinite, a choice which results in some predictably different scopes for ultimate victory. In practice, the differences mostly come down to some alternate anomalies and mission events that appear during the day-to-day planetary scanning and exploration, mining series highlights from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Voyager.
Other differences between Stellaris and Star Trek: Infinite are slight but apparent. Ship lanes are no longer visible on the map, which makes it look more like a cloud of stars than a web of space roads, and results in some confusing navigational dead ends. Some UI particulars have been moved around or altered, which means Stellaris vets will have to get accustomed to the new dashboards.
