Brian Baumgartner, 49, is an actor and director best known for playing Kevin Malone in NBC’s “The Office.” He is co- author of “Welcome to Dunder Mifflin,” an oral history of “The Office” . He spoke with Marc Myers.
I had every intention of becoming a baseball player. At 13, I played first base and was pretty good. But while my knee was straight, I was born with my right foot at a 45-degree angle.
