"But there's a lot of factors that go into that [decision to become a night race], with F1 and television and everything else," Garfinkel toldThe biggest factor is timing with regards to European time zones. Holding a night race in Miami would mean the event happening in the middle of the night in Europe, which would result in a steep TV ratings hit. The upcoming Las Vegas race has already accounted for this problem by holding the main event at Sunday at 10:00 P.M.
