The BMW M Hybrid V8's kidneys look even more enormous in the real world.
As it is with so many modern BMW road cars, the M Hybrid V8 race car's defining design feature is a pair of enormous kidneys. I don't say kidney grilles, because these are very likely aerodynamic devices, but either way, man, just look at them.
BMW chose legendary Italian motorsport firm Dallara to build the chassis of its LMDh car, and the circuit used for testing is just down the road from its headquarters. BMW factory drivers Connor De Phillippi and Sheldon van der Linde turned the first laps in the M Hybrid V8, which is set to continue testing throughout the week.
