The Archies movie is one of Netflix's most anticipated movies and the teaser trailer that has recently dropped looks extremely promising. Directed by Zoya Akhtar and based on the Archie Comics, The Archies follows the lives of Archie Andrews, Veronica Lodge, and Betty Cooper, who live in an Anglo-Indian hill station in 1964 Riverdale, India.
The Archies Confirmed In March 2018, Variety reported that Archie Comics and Graphic India were planning to make a teen musical comedy called The Archies. While not much else was revealed about it at the time , attention soon returned to the film in May 2022 when Netflix India announced the cast and revealed that Akhtar has signed on as director .
The Archies Cast As expected, Netflix India has recruited some talented stars to feature in The Archies movie. Relative newcomer Agastya Nanda portrays the titular lead, Archie Andrews, Khushi Kapoor plays the kind-hearted Betty Cooper, and Suhana Khan plays the rich and sarcastic Veronica Lodge. Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja , singer-songwriter Dot, and Yuvraj Menda have also joined The Archies movie to play Reggie Mantle, Jughead Jones, Ethel Muggs, and Dilton Doiley.
