Why was the bill an eye-opener? Because even with insurance, the hospital charged him $900. Were the tests too expensive? Or were the popsicles not covered? Either way, Mandhir realized a jarring truth: the healthcare industry is not affordable and lacks pricing transparency. Although he was fortunate enough to manage the $900 bill, this experience set him on a mission to address these systemic issues and advocate for change within the healthcare industry.
Today, as a Senior Engineering Lead at a Fortune 500 company, Mandhir spearheads innovation in health insurance operations through data integration and analytics. He focuses on practical solutions that streamline administrative processes and improve care delivery efficiency, directly impacting healthcare quality and accessibility.
