According to a leaked recording of a January meeting between Glenn and librarians in January, the superintendent told his employees, “I acknowledge that there are men that think they’re women and there are women that think they’re men. I don’t have any issues with what people want to believe, but there’s no place for it in our libraries.” Later he reportedly told the librarians, “It’s the transgender, LGBTQ, and the sex—sexuality—in books.
Neither Glenn nor representatives for the Granbury school district responded to ProPublica request for comment this week. In March, the district said its number one focus is educating children but that “the values of our community will always be reflected in our schools.”
