Comeaux said the win opens the doors for all Black girls and boys who are interested in the world of cheer and want to be part of something bigger than themselves.
The cheer team scored a 96.1 performance score and a 95.5875 event score. The second closest team in their division was Niagara University's 85.2 performance score. "I already have 200 people signed up," Comeaux said of students enrolled at TSU."I have people from all over trying out, not just Houston. I have people from Canada, Seattle, Portland, New York, New Jersey, all coming down now."
