the Taos County Sheriff's Office reported that two drivers — Harris and an unnamed 16-year-old — were killed in three-way accident on New Mexico's State Road 522. The third driver escaped injury. The Texas native was on her way to give a performance Thursday at the Big Barn Music Festival in Taos. In her final post on twitter, Harris indicated that she was running out of gas.
"Literally, everybody that was here has passed away, except for my uncle, including my dad. Driving these roads today, I've been driving for 12 hours, you would think that's so exhausting and boring. And remembering my place in the back seat, and I started getting really sad."
