A 25-year-old suspect is in custody after the two competitive cheerleaders were shot, leaving one in critical condition.
ELGIN, Texas — Two competitive cheerleaders were wounded, one critically, after a man opened fire when one of the cheerleaders mistakenly tried to get into his vehicle, reports say.
It’s the third shooting involving victims who have mistakenly approached homes or cars in less than a week.from police in Elgin says the shooting occurred at about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of a H-E-B supermarket. The suspect, Pedro Rodriguez Jr., is accused of firing multiple shots at a vehicle with four competitive cheerleaders inside.
