The deadline to register to vote is Feb. 5. The last day to apply to vote by mail is Feb. 23. Early voting runs from Feb. 20 to March 1.

If a ballot is postmarked by 7 p.m. locally that day, it’ll be counted if the county receives it by 5 p.m. on March 6. If they don’t have any of these, voters can also check a box indicating they have not been issued that identification. At the polls, you’ll have to choose whether you want to vote in the Republican or Democratic primary. If you have contracted COVID-19 or are exhibiting symptoms, consider requesting an emergency early voting ballot or using curbside voting.These ballots can be requested if you become sick or disabled close to an election and are unable to go to a polling place on Election Day. To qualify, you must designate a representative to submit an application in person on your behalf and have a certified doctor’s note. The application must be received by your county’s early voting clerk before 5 p.m.
