In response to Gov. Greg Abbott’s order to the Department of Family and Protective Services back in February of last year, a team of Texans is campaigning to stop the state from investigating gender-affirming care for transgender youth as child abuse.

AUSTIN, Texas — A group of Texans has launched a new campaign to stop state investigations of trans families

They weren’t called to activism, it came to them. Grayson is transgender. He says his transition enabled him to live a normal life, but he never wanted it to define him.When Gov. Abbott ordered DFPS to investigate the same gender-affirming care he received as child abuse, Grayson's mom was the first one to spring into action.

“How can we show them that we support them, that you are seen, that you are loved and these beautiful trans children, we have their back,” Davis said.
