A heat wave will grip parts of Southern California as temperatures will be scorching through the weekend.
A heat advisory is in effect through Saturday for several parts of the region, including the San Gabriel, San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys.
Los Angeles and Orange counties will be spared from the hot temperatures. On Thursday, the region will see patchy fog in the morning and a high of 83 degrees for the afternoon. Similar weather is expected through Saturday. The valleys and Inland Empire on Thursday can expect temperatures to reach 95, dropping to 64 at night. A hazy and hot Friday is on tap, with temperatures reaching 100.Mountain communities on Thursday will be pleasant, as a high of 83 is on tap amid sunny conditions.
Deserts on Thursday can expect to reach 100 degrees, with Palm Springs reaching 109. The heat wave will last through Saturday. The region be sunny and there will be some wind for the next few days.
