During Trump’s criminal trial, the former head of the tabloid described how he’d worked with Trump’s attorney on stories — as Cruz alleged when he was a target.
Sen. Ted Cruz , seen here in February 2020, was the target of unflattering stories in a tabloid magazine during his 2016 presidential campaign. Eight years ago this month, Sen. Ted Cruz was in the waning days of his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, watchingscoop up increasing shares of delegates on his way to becoming the presumptive nominee.
