This week, the Suttons have been sorting through class pictures to donate to the families of the those killed in the deadliest school shooting in the U.S. in a decade. In a series of interviews Friday morning, several residents talked through tears about how they’re trying to hew closely to work and their routines this week as they absorb the horrors of Tuesday.

“This was a normal town, but this is unbelievable,” he said. “Evil came into our town, and nobody is going to be the same.” Staff members of the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District stood together outside the Honest Bowl Stadium.
