There are eight athletes from Saskatchewan attending the Special Olympics World Games in Germany.

Carter is one of eight athletes from Saskatchewan that are among the 89 athletes on Team Canada for the games, which features more than 7,000 athletes from 190 delegations that will compete in 26 sports.“I was pretty shocked,” said Carter. “I didn’t think I’d ever get chosen but I’m lucky I got this opportunity.”
After first getting into golf at the age of four through his dad, Carter has gone on to compete at local, regional and national tournaments since joining the almost 10 years ago. During that time, he’s worked on his skills at the Katepwa Beach Golf Club in the summer and at Divots Indoor Golf in Regina during the winter.
