Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano commended Senator Pia Cayetano for getting elected to the Inter-Parliamentary Union's (IPU) Standing Committee on UN Affairs.
Senator Cayetano, who is in Bahrain for the 146th IPU Assembly, bagged the position of the Asia-Pacific Group representative to the 18-member IPU Standing Committee on UN Affairs.She was elected on March 11 by fellow parliament members together with Hitoshi Aoyagi from Japan.
“Congratulations to an outstanding Taguigeña, Sen. Pia ‘Compañera’ Cayetano,” Mayor Cayetano posted on Facebook.
