T.I. explained that he began to "embellish and exagerate" with his commentary around the situation concerning his 18-year-old daughter, Deyjah, which he's dubbed as "Hymen-Gate" during his appearance on the "I think people kinda took it extremely literal, because if you put any of my reputation -- who I am as a father, who I been -- I honestly thought people knew me better than that," he said.
He later clarified that he wasn't in any actual exam rooms and stated that he never said the gyno visits still take place to this day. However, he did admit he was incredibly apologetic for speaking on the matter publicly and also shared that he didn't understand the sensitivity surrounding the issue at hand.
"She did have a problem with me talking about it, however, and I understand that," Tip continued. "I am incredibly apologetic to her for that. Not to any of these other strangers or any of these weirdos who, you know, just kinda toss lies around for fun. She understands my intentions and she knows who I am."
Jada then explained how Tip is pushing the idea of a patriarchal society, however unknowingly, and and even pressed him on how he reacts differently to preserving his daughter's virginity compared to his son's. "I made the comparison of a son versus a daughter. If my son goes out and gets a girl pregnant, how does the household change for those nine months?" the Atlanta native questioned. "The household doesn't really change much. Whereas if my daughter comes home, my household does change immediately."
